How do you communicate with each other in the workplace? How do you communicate externally? And how does your choice of communication channels affect the amount of environmentally polluting emissions? It's easy to forget that the different ways we communicate have a direct impact on the environment and that in some cases there can be a direct contradiction in what is socially sustainable and what is ecologically sustainable.
Here we collect information that can affect how one should, among other things, clean up emails, how long one saves chat logs, and how one thinks about the "reply all" button.
Questions to ask
Do you keep track of how long chats/sent information remains and whether backups are made?
Do you have policies on communication e.g. email and sharing? (attachment, storage/cleaning of mail, cc, bcc, uploading and sharing)
Have you analyzed the environmental impact of your digital marketing?
